Rebranded School Identity Rooted in Empowerment

Forward Thinking

With an emphasis on believing our children should be empowered and seen, we have transformed our school identity into the Lion—a symbol of courage, leadership, and pride. Every aspect of the school reflects a bold, student-first approach.

We believe that students excel when they feel safe, supported, and respected. Talcott fosters an inclusive, student-centered environment where every child has a voice, feels valued, and is encouraged to take ownership of their learning.

A Second Part of Home

At Talcott, we believe families should feel school is the second part of home. Families should feel like they're part of every collaborative decision that's impacting their children, whether socially or academically.

Families are seen as thought partners. They are part of every decision that we make in the building because ultimately, it impacts their lives outside of Talcott.

It's All About Our Students

At Talcott, we pour into our students. It's all about them. As students increase their voices, we have them advocate for themselves. We want them to understand that we're here for them.

It's important for students to have the ability to question respectfully. If they don't see themself, they must identify themselves within the curriculum and ask those questions.

We won't allow students to stand in isolation believing teachers should just talk to them. We are helping students understand how to build collaboration. Students have to learn how to advocate and ask the appropriate questions.
